Privacy Policy

Thank you for visiting the Sacred Wonderland website. I am Thomas S. “Tom” Bremer, and I maintain this site. The website address is

I take seriously your privacy and I collect very little data about your visits. The website is solely for informational and educational purposes—it is ad-free, and nothing is for sale on this website. Therefore, I don’t gather data for advertising purposes, nor do I need any transactional information (payment information, mailing addresses, etc.) from anyone who visits the site. Sometimes I will link to other sites that sell things or advertise, but I do not get any compensation for those links (i.e., I do not participate in any affiliate advertising programs). If you visit a site that I link to, you should consult their privacy policies.

What personal data I collect and why I collect it

All websites collect some level of data, and this one is no exception. The data collected here, though, is limited to two general purposes, spam detection and communication. I use Cloudflare’s “Turnstile” service to limit spam on users’ comments and on the Contact form. Unlike Google’s CAPTCHA products, however, Cloudflare does not keep data from users of Turnstile, which is why I chose them for spam detection. You can read about Cloudflare’s commitment to privacy at

The comments form on the site collects your name and email address in addition to your comments. Cloudshare will use this information for spam detection. In addition, an anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service is part of Automattic—their privacy policy is available at After approval of your comment, your name and possibly your profile picture will be visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Contact form

The Contact form collects your name and email address in addition to your message. Cloudshare will use this information for spam detection. I use the information you provide only to communicate with you—your information is never sold, rented, or shared with anyone.

Newsletter subscribers

EmailOctopus provides services for sending regular newsletters to subscribers. Their subscription form asks only for your name and email address, which EmailOctopus retains for sending email Newsletters and for tracking emails. You can read their privacy policy at

I do not use cookies on this website to collect user data, and to my knowledge neither does Cloudshare or Automattic.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

How long I retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is to recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically. If you use the Contact form, I may keep the information you provide indefinitely to facilitate further communication.

What rights you have over your data

You can request to receive any of the personal data I have about you, including any data you have provided to me. You can also request that I erase any personal data I hold about you. This does not include any data I am obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes; nor does it apply to data held by others (e.g., Cloudshare, Automattic, or EmailOctopus).

Where I send your data

Other than information utilized as discussed above with the services that I use (i.e., Cloudshare, Automattic, and EmailOctopus), I do not send your data anywhere. I do not sell, rent, or share your information.

If I have missed anything here, or if you have any questions or concerns about privacy or how your data is used or retained, you can use the Contact form to reach me.
